Deep breath...inhale 1,2,3...,,,so the restaurant tonight was a 2 star restaurant. We had the degustation menu, the tasting menu. We were lead into this formal restAurant and were seated next to a window overlooking Nice, Cap Ferrat and the corniches,(3 levels of roads). We were then served an amusebouche of cheese basil and tomatoes..Very nice. The main meal began with an asparagus gazpacho, followed by a squash velouté.. We will need a jumbo jet to lug my carcass back to NL!!!!!! Foie GRAS was then served and was quite good. Amazingly, lamb was the main course andi really liked it. Our palates were then cleansed with lemoncello sorbet... I highly recommend it. Our pre dessert was an expresso, cream chocolate pudding. The main dessert was a rose macaroon resting on a plate of ice cream. Cream and raspberries. I drank a delicious rose, from Provence with my meal. We met this young couple, from Chicago, who were driving through France and Italy. A demain my loyal followers.....
